It is an electric door lock used in access control systems. It consists of a lock body and an armature plate. When powered, the electromagnet generates a strong holding force to keep the door locked; when power is cut, it releases immediately.
This model has a holding force of 280kg (600lbs), which is suitable for most standard single doors.
A surface mount lock is installed on the top of the door frame and is visible, requiring no cutting into the door. A mortise or concealed lock is embedded inside the door or frame, so it is hidden but more difficult to install.
It is fail-safe. When power is lost, the lock opens automatically. This is a fire safety requirement and allows people to exit in an emergency.
The standard model works at DC 12V. A DC 24V version can be customized.
At 12V, the current is about 500mA; power consumption is around 6W.
It works with wood doors, steel doors, fire-rated doors, glass doors, and sliding doors. Brackets may be required depending on the door type.
It depends on the door. A Z bracket is commonly used for inward-opening doors, an L bracket for outward-opening doors, and Z&L or U brackets for glass doors. Wood doors opening inward can often use the lock directly.
It is designed for indoor and semi-outdoor (sheltered) locations. It should not be directly exposed to rain. For outdoor use, please install it under a cover or choose a weatherproof model.
Yes. It is compatible with RFID access controllers, keypads, fingerprint readers, door exit buttons, and intercom systems.
Yes. Because it is fail-safe, it unlocks automatically when power is cut. It can also be connected to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) if you want the door to remain locked during an outage.
It uses a pure copper coil with epoxy potting and has no mechanical wear parts. Its service life is typically over 500,000 cycles.
Yes. A red LED indicates the door is locked, and a green LED indicates it is open.
A door position sensor (DPS) is optional. With it, your access controller can detect whether the door is open or closed.
The package includes the lock body, armature plate, mounting screws, rubber gasket, copper sleeves, positioning pin set, and an installation manual. Brackets are optional.
